Chic Summer Wedding at The Bellevue Country Club

Christine and Ryan’s rockin’ Syracuse, NY wedding at the Bellevue Country Club still has us humming from all the love and excitement! We knew from the start we were bound to have fun with these guys. They found us through another fun, amazing couple, Rachael & Adam, having been guests at their wedding at Virgilio’s Event Centre. It was clear we had a lot more in common than just mutual friends after they suggested Empire Farm Brewery for their engagement session location!

We all started the day at the historic Hotel Syracuse for getting ready. Christine and her eight ladies gathered for hair and makeup fun in one room, while Ryan and his eight guys hung out in a room a few floors away. The vibe in both rooms was super chill. The night before, Christine gave all the ladies matching necklaces, and Ryan gave the dudes matching sunnies to wear on the big day. Christine also shared that the sapphire earrings she’d be wearing were super special. Not only were they her birthstone, but they were also given to her mother by Christine’s grandmother the day Christine was born! What a sweet, special, heirloom touch! While Christine had the finishing touches done on her makeup, Sarah took the dress, which was champagne with an ivory applique, down to the lobby of the hotel to create a dress portrait by the epic fireplace.

After everyone was dressed “to the nines,” the guys headed to the country club via Uber (which was a first for Jenn during a gig, hehe!), and the ladies took some time for portraits in the beautiful hotel lobby. Once at the country club, the guys gathered for a few photos too! The Bellevue Country Club staff, headed up by Heather, went above and beyond all day, and it started with getting draaanks in the guys’ hands just minutes after they arrived. After some portraits, the guys headed down to the locker room to hide Ryan from Christine and munch on some chicken tenders and fries (another BCC special!).

The ceremony took place on the grounds of the country club, overlooking the lush greens. Whistlestop Florist created lovely floral arrangements to create a lovely focal point at the end of the aisle. It was very sunny, and the sky was a shocking blue. All the guests took witness as a close family friend spoke before the couple exchanged vows. She started by quoting The Princess Bride, which got everyone laughing through their tears of joy! Throughout the day, bearing witness to moments like this, it was made clear to us that Christine and Ryan have a very special group of people supporting them. Everyone was super humorous, positive, and real. Family and friends enjoyed posing for casual group photos during cocktail hour. In an alternative to a Signature Cocktail, the couple had His & Hers beers (his was Empire’s Slo ‘Mo, while her’s was Empire’s Deep Purple)!

Not only did we get to see one of our favorite past couples on this very lovely day, but we also got to work with one of our favorite DJs (who was Sarah’s wedding DJ and was also celebrating his birthday on this day), Kirk, of Select Receptions. After a delicious plated dinner, Christine and Ryan cut their Sugar & Co. cake and shared some parent dances. Once Kirk opened the dancefloor to all, it immediately flooded with guests that surrounded the couple with their best dance moves! The party did not stop once it got started. Both Christine and Ryan boogied down with family and friends. There was even an epic conga line and a soul train! During the dance party, Sarah whisked Christine and Ryan away briefly for an epic night shot that embraced the country club’s historic architecture. We enjoyed spending the day with these guys, check out some of the highlights!

Congratulations and best wishes, Mr. & Mrs. Hudson!
