SHP values fun and having a good time above a lot of other things in life. We quickly realized we had this in common with Caitlin and Tom. They jam packed their day with fun after months and months of careful planning for their best day ever! Tom made sure his guys could enjoy their time by bringing his computer and a television to The Oncenter just so they could watch Wedding Crashers AND the football game while getting ready. Caitlin gathered her ladies to the Jefferson Clinton in Syracuse for getting ready, and they all looked super relaxed yet beautiful in their coordinating robes!
Caitlin could not contain her joy as she transformed into Tom’s bride. Her dress reminded us of something out of the book The Great Gatsby. Her hair and makeup gave the look a totally modern spin. She was simply beaming in her Alfredo Angelo gown. Once everyone was decked out, we made our way over to the Everson Museum’s reflecting pool for the couple’s first look. It was clear Tom also thought Caitlin was a beaming beauty! The bridal party then snuck off to Franklin Square via school bus (how cool and fun is that!?) and spent some time striking poses (and super funny faces) with Sarah.
The atrium at the Oncenter set a breathtaking scene for their nuptials, with purple and gold paper lanterns, chairs and airy drapery. The bridal processional came down to the theme from The Lord of the Rings! The couple lit a unity candle, a Taiwanese gift from Caitlin’s step-mom, and then Caitlin and Tom were pronounced husband and wife!
When the reception hall was opened, the guests were greeted by long, elegant tables draped with pearls and topped with feathers, gems, and orchids, expertly created by Whistlestop Florist. Another fun and glitzy nod to retro glamour, which complimented Caitlin’s bridal look.
Once family formals were complete, it was time to party! The highlight of our night was documenting the fun and excitement on the dance floor! The couple brought back the best pop-punk and pop throwbacks with the help of Salt City Sound Machine. Everyone got on the dance floor (we had to hold ourselves back from joining them before our work was done) and a couple microphones were even busted out as every one enjoyed the best of Blink-182, New Found Glory, Hanson, *Nsync, and The Backstreet Boys. It was a joy to live in the elated moments of Caitlin and Tom’s best day ever.
Congratulations and best wishes, Mr. & Mrs. Kraus!
