A Beautiful, Autumn Countryside Wedding at Hayloft on the Arch

Erin and Anthony’s big day had the most perfect autumn weather we’ve seen all season, and they chose the quintessential venue for a beautiful fall day – Hayloft on the Arch. Before they made their way to the venue, the wedding party met at the Vernon Downs hotel to get ready. When Sarah met up with Erin, her girls were scattered with their hair and makeup done, but she noticed everyone was wearing plaid. She made sure to gather all the bridesmaids, “bridesman”, Jake, as well as Erin’s mom and soon to be mother-in-law, for a photo of them in a sea of awesome plaid. Then, before getting into her long-sleeved wedding gown, Erin and some of her girls took a moment to jump on the bed for fun candids!

Meanwhile, Anthony and his nine guys made quick work of getting into their suits. Anthony affixed a “The Hand of the King” pin to his best man (and brother) Nick’s lapel. The first of a couple Game of Thrones references we’d see incorporated into their day! The guys gathered to poor some Crown (a family favorite) in honor of Anthony before sending him on his way, solo, to the Hayloft to see his bride for the first time that day.

Anthony arrived at the Hayloft first, and Sarah directed him to stand in the field with his back to everything as he waited for Erin to arrive in Big D’s deluxe coach bus. He was so patient!! Once she descended the bus, she quickly made her way to him. Standing out in the distance under an awesome, mostly cloudy, autumn sky, they shared a sweet moment together. Then they were ready to pose for couples’ portraits. Outside the venue, in the distance, the wedding party helped each other put on boutonnières and finalize their looks while also trying to stay out of Sarah’s shots!  The sun stayed mostly hidden behind the clouds but kept everyone warm as we moved on to photographing the wedding party. We were so happy to see some ideal weather!

The entire wedding party was able to hide while guests arrived and started filling the seats of the outdoor ceremony. St. Agnes Florist out did themselves with the floral sprays at the aisle’s entrance and adorning the Hayloft’s signature doorway arch. Erin’s bouquet was epic as well. The short, sweet ceremony commenced with Erin and Anthony’s mutual best friend marrying them. Since family photos were done before the ceremony, the couple were then able to enjoy every moment of their cocktail hour.

As guests filed into the Hayloft for drinks and crudités, they were greeted by an epic display of donuts, including a donut tower with their cutting cake at the top. The topper exclaimed “He Bent the Knee!” Another cute nod to Game of Thrones. Mario’s Bakery made the most amazing variety of donuts! There were headlights, taillights, maple bacon, some covered in M&Ms, some covered in pretzels, and others filled with jelly, cream or peanut butter! The guests politely obeyed the sign asking for them to wait until after cake cutting to enjoy the donuts, but we know that must have been so hard!

Each guest received a key with their table number on it. The reception space was lovely. A long family style table took center stage with round tables on three sides. The long table was draped with greenery. Gold, glass, geometric candle votives accompanied each table number. The burgundy, blush, and navy colors the couple had planned for came to life with in the floral centerpieces held in vintage glass vases.

Once Erin & Anthony were introduced, they went right into their first dance as husband and wife. The guests were super enthusiastic and excited for the couple; everyone’s attention was on the dance floor! Parent dances followed immediately and then the DJ directed everyone’s attention to the couple’s table for toasts. Erin’s Matron of Honor (and cousin!) Liz emphasized how lucky she feels to have Erin in her life, and hoots, hollers, and even an “amen” came from the guests! So sweet!

Guests were treated to a delicious buffet dinner by Michaels Catering. The cake was cut right after where Erin and Anthony proceeded to feed each other a piece of cake and then they picked out donuts to feed each other! It was a unique and fun play on the cake cutting tradition! Then party was started! The dance floor quickly filled up. DJ Brian Oddo kept things moving with tons of guests on the dance floor with his creative mash-ups. Soon the guests got a hold of the mic and some sing-a-longs ensued. Anthony’s 95 year old grandmother even got out on the dance floor, it was so sweet! Sarah and Wesley capped off the big day with an epic night shot at the signature doorway where the ceremony was held. Erin and Anthony kissed, danced a little, grabbed butts, toasted beers and enjoyed a moment to themselves while Sarah snapped away creating a few epic photos to end a perfect day!

We are excited to share some highlights from this awesome couple’s best day ever:

Congratulations & best wished, Mr. & Mrs. Sucapani!!
