One thing I stress to couples who are engaged and hunting for a photographer is to do an engagement session. I find it’s SUPER helpful to hang with my couples ahead of time to get to know them, who they are as a couple and how they interact together. It’s a practice run to know what to expect on the day of when we do their portraits. It’s an excuse to get your hair/makeup/nails done. To buy a new outfit. To wander somewhere cool and to spend time with your significant other! It’s so many things, and it’s worth the time and energy spent preparing for it!
We wrote an engagement session 411 post, where you can read more about E-sessions, but for now, I want to share Jenni and Kurtis’ engagement session from last week at Thornden Park! I hadn’t met them before, Jenni’s parents came into my studio and met with me and booked me after Jenni and I spoke through e-mail! It was great hanging with them, getting to know them a bit and talking plans for this October, their Landmark Theater wedding. Ahhh! So soon. In the meantime, enjoy their engagement photos. We got some fun and sweet moments!
