One of the great things about our work is reliving the day through the images we create. It’s exciting when we believe the set of images provided to the client truly reflects the emotions and unique qualities of their best day ever! Jillian and Juan’s wedding day set is definitely one of those sets. The calm, beautiful quality of the day is reflected in the autumn leaves, the church walls, the florals and the crisp blue sky. They married on a peak leaf-peeping day in LaFayette, NY at Columbian Presbyterian Church, next door to Jillian’s parents’ home.
After a sweet ceremony, the gang made a pitstop to play in some leaves before heading to the Skyline Lodge! Having clients willing to get down with creating magical, stunning images makes us extra excited for the finished set. Documentation of the day is necessary, but capturing the emotions in an artistic way is how we enjoy challenging ourselves!
What a treat the day was! A bit cold, but the view was stunning! The serene multitude of muted autumn colors made a lovely backdrop for some quick wedding party photos before the start of the reception. The Skyline offers a stunning CNY view all year round, which makes it a treat to photograph here. Jillian and Juan invited their guests to a cocktail hour and dinner reception. After their first dance as husband and wife, they were able to let loose with their closest loved ones. They offered quite the dessert spread, featuring an adorable cake topped with Pepe le Pew!
As the party went on, the night allowed Sarah and Wesley to create some images with OCF. We have enjoyed challenging each other to create epic night shots all season, and we are thankful Juan and his best men allowed us to continue this project!
Here are some of our favorites from Jillian & Juan’s best day ever:
Congratulations & best wishes, Mr. & Mrs. Silva!!
