Capturing Rachel and Troy’s big day was a true honor for SHP, and it wasn’t just because of the well thought out details and little touches! Sarah’s family has known Rachel’s family for three generations, and Rachel’s mom used to babysit lil Sarah back in the day. It filled our hearts with joy when they hired us!

Rachel’s dress was stunning and perfect for dancing with it’s peek-a-boo hemline. We imagine this was no accident, since Rachel has been a dancer her whole life! The details she put into her ensemble – a magnificent necklace, coral heels, and a stunning handmade brooch bouquet – made her the shining star of everyone’s attention (even in a venue filled with interesting and adorable animals!).

Rachel and Troy met each other by the tigers for a magical first look. It tremendous fun roaming the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, picking the best scenes for photographs, and playing with the zoo’s penguin and tiger displays. It lent so much joy to the day that the fact that a bridesmaid’s dress busted open (at no fault of her own) right before they were about to leave for the zoo became a distant memory.

After a heartfelt ceremony, guests were invited to cocktail hour visited by a conure, the sweetest dinner blessing by Rachel’s grandma, and a packed dance floor to celebrate the night away.
