Hey friends! It’s me, Sarah! I just wanted to post about my awesome weekend including a fun adventure! So! This weekend was pretty jam-packed and fun-filled! My mom came over and I had a sewing lesson as we prepared to sew tassels onto some curtains. Tim and I bought Radiohead tickets for this summer in Detroit and we had an amazing dinner with our friends who you may have seen on the blog in late 2017. That was all Friday! Phew!
I spent Saturday (my birthday!) lounging, having lunch at my favorite Indian restaurant and prepping for my birthday gathering which was such a fun time with friends! We invited our friends out to a dive bar and then hosted the rest of the evening at our house! It was so great! I made sure to hit the hay at a decent hour because I had made plans for a weaving workshop in Rochester with Jenn and my mom, so I had to be on my best behavior the night before!
The workshop was so so so much fun! We arrived to a super cute set up of tables covered in everything we’d need for the workshop including flowers for decoration, and baskets full of nicely organized yarns with fun textures, our loom already started for us and more! Courtney, the class instructor, also teaches other classes you can see on her website!
Signing up for a neutral colored wall hanging class was hard for me, but I feel like I was able to focus on the process and bonus – pinpoint one color from home that I could focus on for my hanging! We listened to some throwback music and got to work! Before we knew it, 4 hours flew by and we were tying up our creations and admiring everyone’s creativity! We finished up, said our thank you’s and were on our way. But what’s a day trip adventure without a delicious meal in a different city?! We wanted something quick but delicious and ended up stopping at Qdoba which none of us had ever been to before and was exciting! As you can imagine, I got tacos. Jenn followed suit and my mom tried the burrito bowl. We all left with full and happy bellies for our hour + long trip home! What an amazingly fun way to spend (and end) my birthday weekend – full of good food and good times! Here’s the workshop in photos – enjoy!
