Savahna, yes I spelled her name right, is my longest and dearest friend! Our fathers met back in 1984 when my dad went to hook up a telephone/land line in Savahna’s parent’s house. Savahna’s mom and my mom were pregnant at the same time and due just a few weeks apart – I’m older, hehehe! We inevitably met five years later in Kindergarten and have been best friends ever since! It was a no brainer to have her stand next to me at my wedding! Below is her little story of my day!
I had a great time at Sarah and Tim’s wedding. It was a joy to see my friend (but like a sister) of 23 years(wow) get hitched. We had a ball and for the first time that I can remember I danced more than half the night. I can’t even say I did that at my own wedding. I had quite a bit to drink as well, as I kept getting handed more drinks and getting them for myself. I met some great people and hung out with old friends as well. Not to mention, I may have cried during the father daughter dance, Dad picked a great song. Even with some rain on that day nothing could rain on their parade. I even ended my night seeing the couples wedding suite, Tim probably wished I wasn’t there, but I wanted combos with the bride (photographic proof below.) Too bad we can’t relieve the night in person again but can always do so in our minds through the photographs. I am so excited that I got to be apart of the day.
