My Wedding Planning: Snapshots from the Frog Pond Bed + Breakfast

So this venue came recommended to me by my wedding planning friend Megan! I checked it out today before meeting with one of my wedding couples at their venue at the Sherwood Inn. I brought my handy Canon Elph 100hs to help me document the gorgeous Frog Pond Bed and Breakfast! There are two buildings on site that are used, the first is the light stone building with the addition in yellow, that is the bed and breakfast! The owners live there as well. There is also the carriage barn with the red details which is where the receptions are held. There were good things about this venue and some things that stood out as a problem and I’m going to document my journey in finding a venue so I figured I’d list out the pros and cons so I can remember!

Pros
• Beautiful landscaping
• Tons of spots for photos
• Four different outdoor ceremony locations
• Ample parking
• String lights strung around the barn
• Spots to place artwork/photographs/decoration on wall shelving as well as deep windows
• Stairs to the rickety 2nd floor (a brave photographer could capture some of the reception from above)
• Friendly owners who have a cute kitty
• Space for caterer to prepare food (not a kitchen just a room)
• Can choose own caterer
• Can bring in own booze/keg/homebrew
• Blank slate barn to decorate how I wish

Cons
• Nothing but the property is included in the $1500 fee
• Must rent 2 rooms for 2 nights at $200/night ($800 in addition to the rental fee)
• All of september is booked and I want a september wedding
• Must rent tables + chairs
• Bring in own caterer/plates/silverware/glasses all of those details
• Must rent toilets for your reception
• Low ceilings
• Not many windows for natural lighting

Here are some photos I took!
