Shannon and Jason’s big day took place in a town Sarah and Jenn have both called home at some point in time in their lives. Baldwinsville is a quintessential New York small town on the Seneca River. The Red Mill Inn sits on the canal at lock 24 along the river, so the views of this riverside community are pretty lovely! Shannon and Jason kept it local while planning their best day ever too, and this post highlights some Baldwinsville entrepreneurs thanks to them!
The day was hot, but that didn’t stop people from visiting the area, and it certainly did not stop Shannon, Jason, and Team SHP! Shannon and Jason planned a lot of time for portraits, so we had lots of fun. However, the day started off with Shannon getting ready at the inn, while Jason, with his dad and brothers, got ready at his home. Shannon and her best friends kept cool in the bridal suite as they put the finishing touches on their wedding looks. Jason and his guys did the same. The wedding party came together sharply in their black and white attire! Jason posed for a couple of portraits before heading off to the church. Shannon and her ladies shortly followed.
Their wedding ceremony was so sweet! Jason was filled with nervous excitement, but before he knew it, Shannon was by his side to light the unity candle. They exchanged vows and rings before sealing the deal with a kiss to great applause. Guests took some time to explore Baldwinsville before arriving at the Red Mill for cocktail hour, while Shannon, Jason, family, and wedding party did the same for photo fun! Sarah was able to explore all around Paper Mill Island with the couple, creating an awesome set of portraiture!!
During cocktail hour, guests sipped Coronas, enjoyed a spread of crudite and assorted cheeses, and pursued the pink and red decor. The couple attached custom candles to each guests’ table card. They also had special cards asking for advice and well wishes for the newlyweds. The scene-stealer was the dessert display by Jessicakes! An adorable cutting cake sat tall above an assortment (chocolate peanut butter, birthday cake, blueberry, and red velvet oreo – to name off a few!) of delicious cupcakes!
After cooling off from being super champs in the heat for photographs, the wedding party got ready for introductions. Jason’s brothers impressed the crowd with some pushups while supporting Shannon’s bridesmaids once out on the dancefloor. Then Shannon and Jason were introduced as husband and wife for the first time ever and shared a dance. Friendship and love surrounded the couple as the festivities moved forward. Parent dances were shared, and then a bit of dancing before dinner was in order. The couple was toasted by both of Jason’s brothers as well as Shannon’s bridesmaids while through the windows behind them the dam rushed under the blue, but subtly changing final June sky of the year.
While guests enjoyed dinner, Team SHP worked on getting some details photographed. Anita at North Country Florist outdid herself again with Shannon’s bouquet set (she was Sarah’s florist too!). The late afternoon sun provided the perfect shaded spots to create some images before we enjoyed some dinner also.
After dinner, Shannon and Jason cut their adorable white rosette cake and shared a slice in a cutting ceremony and invited everyone to dessert and out on the dance floor. The party commenced, and everyone and we mean everyone boogied down in celebration of the newlyweds. Today we’re sharing the highlights of their Baldwinsville love story!
Congratulations and best wishes, Mr. & Mrs. Gedamoske!
