Syracuse Wedding Photographer: Troy, NY WHCC Event

So, Jenn and I drove two + hours to end up at Browns Brewingย (event space), which might I add was completely adorable and totally wedding worthy! I had a design school friend meet up with us because I thought perhaps she could benefit from WHCC‘s awesome products! ๐Ÿ™‚ Remember, she interviewed me on her blog, here?
Basically there was food and drink as well as all of WHCC’s products so I got to check out a ton of stuff I might have been wondering about as I order albums or cd’s or my normal orders from them for my awesome clients! I only brought my cell phone, so photo quality is at an all time low, but I really just wanted to take visual notes about what I liked about certain products I saw and got to touch!

2013-07-23 17.56.18_WEBabove are three photos.. the first I is a photo of the hinged album, I had never ordered one so looking in person was great. the 2nd photo I got excited about the easel lighting.. sometimes a bridal shows we’re stuck in a bad area where our work isn’t lit well and this gave me excitement, haha. The last photo is the white stitching on a dark color which I never do, so seeing it in person also excited me! I always order black stitching on darker binding but I do like the contrast! These were all of my thoughts and reasons for snapping these three photos!

2013-07-23 17.54.31_WEBSometimes clients ask to see full weddings, and while this is totally doable by sending them smugmug links, it’d be cool to offer that right at my office. I saw this proof album that wasn’t flush mount but the magazine style and thought that it’d be affordable and awesome to have one printed of a wedding to show to my potential clients who come to visit me at my office!

2013-07-23 18.01.03_WEBThis got me excited, it’s an image folio which in this example is a photographers pricing!! I really like this idea so instead of handing them a little 4×11 laminated pricing sheet that I have I could show my pricing this way, more professionally and for ~$56! Durable and someone probably wont walk off with it like the do my little laminated pricing sheet! Ha.

2013-07-23 17.57.53_WEBThese are custom photo boxes that I thought were sweet. what stood out to me the most other than the neat custom boxes was the thickness of the 2nd 2 photos images! they were really thick, and while I don’t have an idea or use for them really because I don’t offer this, I just thought it’d be nice to visually document to keep in mind if I ever need something like this! ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe thicker pricing sheets like my 4×11 but not laminated just thicker, who knows!

So those were my “notes” while I browsed around their goodies! Jenn and I got a short but sweet walking tour of Troy, NY from my lovely design pal Casi! She showed us the Troy Dinosaur BBQ that was just a short walk from Browns, a bunch of Uncle Sam statues, the church he went to, a church with all tiffany stained glass, the street she lives on, some cool murals, a music hall, and a lot of really quaint boutique shops with art and jewelry that my wallet was glad they were all closed! After our tour Jenn and I adventured over to Trader Joe’s, we had never been and I’m not heart broken over the fact it’s 2.5 hours away because Wegmans is really where my heart is! (We may also have gone to their local Target as well)
